Actor Irrfan Khan has been diagnosed with ‘neuroendocrine tumor’ and is currently out of India for treatment. The unfortunate news left his fans and well-wishers shell-shocked, but the actor appears to be unfazed and continues to update fans through his social media accounts.
He recently posted a philosophical message on his Instagram which relays his belief in God and that his faith is still left unwaivered.
In the post, Irrfan shared a Rainer Maria Rilke poem,
“God speaks to each of us as he makes us, then walks with us silently out of the night….
These are the words we dimly hear: You, sent out beyond your recall, go to the limits of your longing…
Embody me. Flare up like a flame and make big shadows I can move in…
Let everything happen to you: beauty and terror. Just keep going. No feeling is final…
Don’t let yourself lose me. Nearby is the country they call life. You will know it by its seriousness. Give me your hand #rainermariarilke.”
In a recent interview the director of Irrfan’s upcoming movie Blackmail, Abhinay Deo said that: “I met him (Irrfan) and he is fine and in good spirits. We all know that he is unwell. He is away for his treatment. We should respect the privacy of the family. We are hoping that he will be with us on April 6, watching the film.”
All the media industry and his well-wishers around the world have expressed their concerns and good wishes for the Actor and have termed him a warrior, who will fight hard in this difficult time and come out of it stronger than ever.
Blackmail is to be released on April 6.
